Yousef Ibrahim Barjas Alta'any is an Australian author, internationally recognised salsa educator, and independent opinion analyst. With more than 15 years of professional experience in Latin dance, he has dedicated his career to education, performance, choreography and the development of structured learning methods.
As the founder of The Alta'any Method, Yousef combines practical experience with clear educational principles to help students develop technical excellence, musicality and confidence. In recent years, he has expanded his work through books, articles and independent commentary on international affairs, leadership and contemporary global issues
A Career Built on Education
Before becoming a published author, Yousef established himself as one of Australia's recognised salsa educators and performers. Since beginning his professional career in 2009, he has competed, performed and taught throughout Australia while mentoring hundreds of dancers.
He received distinction at the 2014 NSW Salsa Open Championships and founded Sydney Salsa Sabor Dance Company and El Sabor Latin Dance, where he developed teaching systems that later became the foundation of The Alta'any Method.
